Available Powertrains
The incredible EQS Sedan is offered in four trims, with each one having its own powertrain. The base EQS 450+ Sedan trim relies on a single electric motor and a battery pack for power, and they deliver 329 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. This setup is only available with rear-wheel drive.
The remaining three trims have 4MATIC® all-wheel drive and two electric motors. System output varies between the top trims, with the EQS 450 4MATIC® sedan generating 355 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, the EQS 580 4MATIC® Sedan producing 516 horsepower and 631 lb-ft of torque, and the AMG® EQS Sedan coming through with 649 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque. With the Race Start mode engaged, the top trim's output increases to 752 lb-ft of torque and 751 horsepower temporarily.
